Hi!I recently started this independent project trought my school (which could be pretty much anything, as long as it could relate to graphic design in some way), and I choosed to make a mini-comic. Yep! For the first time I actually think I'll be able to
finish it (my previous comics became pretty much half-finished, haha!). I started on the project earlier this week, with some planning in the week before. The comic has to be ready for presentation till the next thursday so I pretty much have a short schedule, but I'm pretty sure I'll be able to get it done.
Here are some quickies of some character design. Due to the pretty short schedule, I think I spent about an hour or so to get the design of them done.
So about the comic itselfI wanted to keep it simple: It's a girl, who want to get over a very tall wall. Why? Because she wonders what's on the other side of it. But getting over the wall is harder than it sounds and why have nobody been on the other side?... and so on.
The setting is in some city, probably a bit in the future where everything seems pretty neat, but there is this huge wall surrounding the whole city. And nobody (it seems) knows what's on the other side of it.
The main character, named Frida, is some curious girl who works at a café and who has always wondered why the wall is there in the first place.
I'm not really sure where this idea came from in the first place, maybe a dream or something, haha! But think there are some inspiration taken from the Hunger games-books, some from Batman and probably some Mass Effect pluss a lot of other stuff I like. The thing I wanted at least was to keep it simple. The comic will be on 10 pages, and will probably be in black/white. Looking forward to see how this lil' project will turn out, and I'll probably uoload it all here on DeviantART...once I'm finished
